PASTOR MARCUS MORROW
Pastor Marcus Morrow was born on June 12, 1967 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He was reared a preachers kid (Reverend Albert and Betty-Ruth Morrow). Pastor Morrow graduated from Orange High School in Hillsborough, North Carolina in 1985, and afterwards attended the North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University where he has obtained a Bachelors Degree in Music, with a concentration in voice and trumpet.

​Pastor Morrow has ministered in song mostly all his life with his family group ( The Morrow Family) following and supporting their father, Reverend Albert Morrow and his ministry as pastor of several churches in the Carolina’s and Virginia area. During this time Pastor Morrow gained valuable hands on training in various phases of ministry.
In July of 1994 he surrendered his life to Christ through the ministry of preaching the gospel. He was licensed at New Jerusalem Freewill Baptist Church in Durham, North Carolina under the Bishop Bennie Griffin. In addition to preaching he has served as Minister of Music to several churches.

Pastor Morrow accepted the call to pastor in April 1996, and being led by GOD, he and his brother Elder Thane Morrow founded Victory In JESUS Ministries of NC Inc., in Hillsborough NC. This ministry began as an ensemble of singers and musicians and grew as the result of Bible Study sessions amongst a group of friends that he taught.

Victory In Jesus Ministries under Pastor Morrow’s leadership has developed numerous ministries and continues to serve people in every capacity possible with every opportunity. Many milestones have been achieved and Victory In JESUS Ministries continues to thrive. Victory In JESUS Ministries is now embarking on a new building project that will ultimately provide many services and employment opportunities to our local communities. Under the leadership of Apostle Garland Scott in 1997 Pastor Morrow was licensed and ordained at City Center Ministries in Jacksonville Florida. In October of 2000, he was licensed and ordained by Covenant Fellowship International, an interdenominational, interdependent, international fellowship that was birthed from the heart of Bishop Vaughn McLaughlin, (pastor of The Potters House International Ministries in Jacksonville, Florida). CFI provides apostolic oversight and fellowship for pastors and ministries that desire to model unity in the Body of Christ and proper ecclesiastical order as they serve in the new millennium.

Pastor Morrow’s accomplishments encompass both the secular and the spiritual realm. In May of 1998 he along with his wife ( Marinda ) began Aunt Reni’s Day Care of Hillsborough NC. This business venture provides child care education, but also opens doors to many personal ministry opportunities. In 2010 he founded an AAU Basketball organization named the Hillsborough Heat to encourage evangelism through basketball and athletics.
Through skillful exegetical handling of the Scriptures, along with a personal and simple approach to the Gospel, he has witnessed the power of GOD move and is excited about how it continues to manifest change in his community.
On April 15, 2016 Pastor Morrow released his freshmen project entitled “I Can’t Explain” a Contemporary Gospel four-song EP of which all songs were written, arranged, and performed by him.
Pastor Morrow has been nominated for the 2017 Rhythm of Gospel Music Awards in the Categories of: EP/ Digital Album of The Year, Contemporary Male Vocalist of The Year and Traditional Male Vocalist of The Year by the National Independent Gospel Music Association. On June 24th, 2017 He received awards in 2 categories: EP/Digital Album of the Year and Traditional Male Vocalist of The Year.
Along with working in the pastorate, he continues to use his musical gifts as Worship Leader, Pianist, Singer and Song Writer, vocal and piano instructor to further enhance the worship experience at Victory In Jesus Ministries and wherever GOD directs. Pastor Morrow ministers at various conferences and conducts music workshops that focus on the proper and complete worship experience for The Body of CHRIST.
He has been happily married to Marinda Upshur Morrow for over 26 years. His wife has worked alongside him in ministry for over 25 years and has served in different capacities of ministry. Together they serve as a model for countless Christian couples, pastors and ministry leaders.
They are the proud parents of three children; Mario 28, Marisha 26, and Marquiese 22.
